Over the past few years many employers, including those where we have members, have taken on as new starters a large number of veterans from HM Forces. This can only be seen as a good thing, employers recognize the value that ex-military people can bring to a company and are keen to recruit. Unfortunately, what a lot of employers do not understand is that some veterans can come with some serious baggage both physical and mental which management may never have had to deal with previously.
So as to be able to support those members of the branch who are veterans, we have two dedicated Veterans Reps, Ian Cowley and Nigel Bailey, we are here to give what ever help, support and advice we can to our veteran members.
