Once again, this year Paul Moffat, our Eastern Regional Secretary and Branch member, will be completing the ‘Walking Home for Christmas – Walking with Wounded‘ fundraiser. Paul is hoping to smash the £1,600.00 raised last December for the charity. This will be the last year Paul will do the event as part of the CWU, although he will continue to raise vital funds for the charity for Veterans, those serving and their families to support them and combat Mental Health, Workplace issues, Re-education, Disabilities and supporting their families.

The funds raised are vital for supporting the essential work carried out by the charity supporting those in need of help and assistance. This year, the walk will take place at the four beaches of the Normandy D-Day Landings to remember the legacy of those who have laid down their lives and served, as well as fund raise for the charity. The walk will be completed between the 15-17 December 2025.

Our branch will be supporting Paul as per previous years. Individuals can also donate to support the charity in its fund raising. No matter how small the donation every penny helps. Donations can made by following the link to Pauls WWTW fund raising page. https://walking-home.walkingwiththewounded.org.uk/users/paul-moffat?share_id=79&share_type=social_image
